Alone In Kyoto is a track from the Air album, Talkie Walkie, released in 2004. It featured in the film Lost in Translation, and has undoubtedly also served as background music for countless TV ads and programmes since then.My name is Lisa. I created this blog in order to document my year in Kyoto, Japan, studying at Ritsumeikan University as part of my Japanese degree. I'm back now, and sporadically update this when I see something funny and actually remember to post it. Any suggestions or ideas, please send on a seeded bun to the usual address, but not by carrier pigeon this time lest it get stolen and eaten.

I saw FREE HUGS in Shibuya as well after I came beck to Japan. I had never seen them before. I asked why they were doing that. They said "We want to share happiness". Then, I hugged them... I thought ???... I found their complicated emptiness rather than happiness.
